Overrated joke of a school. I had literally the worst freshman year ever here. I was bullied, pushed, humiliated, etc, And the school did little to nothing about it. I guess education is more important than personal issues to them, since all they care about is education and bragging rights. The staff here is also arrogant and pompous. They strut around the school with their chests poked out and don't hesitate to enforce dumb rules on students or give you the most over dramatic lectures about grades, as if your life depends on it. Also, be warned of the students who go there. You have thug wannabes who I call compton rejects, you got your annoying preps, and just all around mean spirited people. All in all, don't go to this school based on all the propaganda about test scores and the curriculum, do yourself a favor and get home schooled. Oh, and just a head's up, teachers are oblivious to the huge bullying issue here. So if you're being bullied, don't expect any help from anyone here. You're on your own. And I should also warn you that a majority of the bullying comes from those fake thugs that I mentioned. Not that it can't be anybody, because it can be. And don't be surprised when you handle it yourself and YOU end up getting into trouble. there are also alot of kids here trying to be edgy by saying controversial things for attention. So expect to here so messed up stuff from some of these children. But, to be fair, it's not bad for everyone. If you're an overly ambitious prep who'll freakout if they get anything below an A on their report card, then you'll fit right in with the other snobbish AP students who believe that they are better than us "retards", as us honors and cp kids have been called before. And let us not forget the right winged conservative trump supporting kids who think they have clue about politics because of xenophobic rhetoric that they get from their families as well as fox news. They have taken it upon themselves to form a conservatives clubs, adding an air of political bias to the school, where (considering the election), none should need exist. I get it, Georgia is a red state, but seriously, keep your conservative amd Republican opinions to yourself. As crazy as it sounds, some people actually do not approve of our new president.
Awesome school, they gave a really high standard for their students. They also gave an exemplary Cross Country program their team has won 12 state championships and made top 3 in the state for 20 years
This school is ridiculously strict on getting to classes on time like you’re 5 seconds late and they tap you, and the dress code makes no sense and is only really held in F hall.
I'm about to be a senior, and all in all this school is 'okay', its definitely not the best but its also not the worst. The restrooms can get really gross especially in the A100-A200 halls. The staff can be VERY strict about the rules that they have there and they're A LOT of annoying wannabe thugs and preppy kids that think they're better than everybody, but they're are still lots of good students that are neither of those things, and there's lots of good teachers. You just have to separate the good from the bad, and really there is NO school out there that is absolutely perfect, they're all gonna have flaws somewhere.
Aren't very good teachers and the rules are ridiculous and this school is literally falling apart. Nothing ever works when it rains expect to see trash cans in the hallway to catch the water from the leaky ceiling. Save your child don't send them here.
